At the end of August 2015, the intelligent automatic 600T friction welding machine jointly developed by Wuxi Caston Drill Tool Co., Ltd. and the welding research institute was trial-run successfully, which marks that the company now has the world largest welding machine that can weld the pipe of 300mm diameter and the welding technology of welding the pipe of the largest diameter.

In November 2014, to establish an enterprise integrating science & education, R&D, and production, Wuxi Caston Drill Tool Co., Ltd. and Xi’an Shiyou University jointly established the graduate student work station to make research on the drill tool failures, inspection and precaution and drill tool related technology and finish the thesis of Drill Tool Related Technology Research Report which provide the complete theoretical basis for the drill pipe material selection, production process, application and failure, and security detection.

In 2013, the joint thread laser quenching equipment jointly developed by the company and Wuhan Huagong Laser was trial-run successfully. The CNC laser quenching device resolves the problem of thread gluing in the trenchless construction, prevents the thread not being dismounted because of the thread gluing, and improves the joint strength and service life. After being used by many construction enterprises, the equipment obviously benefits the trenchless industry, greatly improves the construction efficiency, reduces the internal loss of the hole and drill tool abrasion, and saves the construction cost.
